Skill Level: Experienced Beginner
This workshop is for experienced beginner needle felters! Learn how to reproduce a favorite landscape memory into a 2D wool painting, using a photo as a guide. You will gain experience transferring your design on to your felting surface, blend wool to create new colors, and add depth and detail to your needle felted 2D picture.
*Note: Bring a snack and a drink, if desired, for a break during this 4 hour workshop!
Supplies:
- Printed photo of landscape or nature for your reference, either 5"x7" or 8"x10" size
- Foam needle felting pad
- 1/3 yard wool backing
- 1/3 yard HTC Applique-ease
- Wool roving in the colors of the theme (choose a few main colors, small amounts for details will be available to use during class)
- 3 felting needles, various sizes (38 Star, 40 Triangle, and 42 Triangle)
- Marking pen
- OPTIONAL: embroidery floss and embroidery needle
