Create two decorative throw pillows, learning additional sewing skills with each one! Also learn how to measure, cut, and stitch to achieve a pillow with a professional appearance. Great for students looking to add a few skills to their sewing repertoire! Students must be comfortable using a sewing machine.
Here's what you can expect:
Pillow #1 will have a zipper back-yes, we assure you, you can install a zipper! Pillow #2 will include piping around the edges. Each pillow is a bit more challenging than the previous one.
Class supplies must be purchased from Silk Road Textiles, either in store or through the SRT Online Marketplace. By using our high quality products, you know that you have the right tools and fibers to set you up for success, and we can keep our class prices down.
Supplies for zipper back pillow:
1/2 yard fabric
Zipper, 14 inch
18" pillow form
Supplies for piped pillow:
1-1/8 yard fabric
2-1/2 yards 5/16" piping
18" pillow form
You will also need basic sewing supplies (sewing machine, thread, pins, snips). A sewing machine from SRT can be reserved at registration for no extra cost.
