You have been learning your serger and now want to make a garment! Leggings are a quick and simply project to get started on serging your garments together. We will sew and finish all in one step! In this class you will learn to become more comfortable with your serger and working with knits. Peg Legs Leggings from Patterns for Pirates is a tried and true pattern with an inclusive size range and options such as low rise or high rise. You can even choose from four lengths! While other add-on packages/styles are available, we will construct the basic peg legs in this class.

In order to take this class, you must know how to use your serger, including changing stitches and threading the machine. You must have used your serger recently and bring it to class threaded and ready to sew. For this class you must download the free Peg Leg Leggings pattern and instructions and print out the instructions. For the class, the instructor will prepare your pattern pieces ahead of time. In order to get the correct pattern size, you must provide your waist (natural waistline), high hip (at your hip bones) and hip (widest part, usually around your booty) measurements to Silk Road Textiles no later than Friday 10/11/24. If you need help measuring, let us know, and we'll give you a hand.

Class supplies must be purchased from Silk Road Textiles, either in store or through the SRT Online Marketplace. By using our high quality products, you know that you have the right tools and fibers to set you up for success, and we are able to keep our class prices down.
