Embrace the spring weather by sewing your very own lounge or sleep set. This class features Closet Core’s Fran pajamas and we will be tackling both the top and bottom! You will leave this class learning new skills and with a set of PJs. While the fit is slouchy with plenty of ease they still feature tailored details for a refined look. The Fran top features a shirt collar, cuffed sleeves, back yoke with invert pleat and button loop closure at the neck. The Fran pants feature a straight leg with elastic waist, optional drawstring, back pocket and of course inseam pockets! This class is designed for sewers who have made a garment before, but not necessarily sewn with knits. To be successful in this class and to be able to repeat the process at home, you should know how to read a pattern and its instructions and how to lay out your fabric for cutting, including understanding the concept of the right and wrong sides of the fabric. Of course, students must be proficient using a sewing machine, including how to change settings and set up your machine for sewing.
Class supplies must be purchased from Silk Road Textiles, either in store or through the SRT Online Marketplace. By using our high quality products, you know that you have the right tools and fibers to set you up for success, and we are able to keep our class prices down.
Supplies must be purchased prior to the first day of class so you have time to wash and dry the fabric beforehand. Also, you will not miss valuable class time gathering supplies.
