Light to midweight cottons, linens, chambrays, and blends work well for this jacket. Since the fabric will be doubled and quilted to a batting avoid anything too heavy as the jacket may become excessively stiff.
Techniques: Straight seams, basic quilting, inserting welt pockets, and applying bias binding.
Notions: Thread 5 yds of 1/2" wide double fold bias binding (or 1/2 yd extra fabric to make your own)
