With its modern swing shape and length that hits mid-hip, this is an update on the classic trench. Raglan sleeves give you plenty of movement, and the storm flaps and generous collar keep out inclement weather. All seams are bound which helps it stand up to wear and tear. Techniques involved include sewing a straight seam, welt pockets, Hong Kong seam finishing, topstitching, sewing a collar & collar stand, inserting buttonholes, and hand sewing
Suggested Fabrics: Lightweight coating or medium weight fabrics such as cotton or tencel twill, gabardine, or linen. Make sure your fabric has drape to allow the swing shape of the coat to hang properly. We recommend fabric weights between 5 - 8 oz.
Notions: Thread, 6-1" buttons, 12 yds pre-made 1/4" double fold bias tape
