The Fish Lips and Whalebones slippers are knit top-down socks, casting on at the cuff and finished at the toes. The cuff is knit in a circle, and the heel is knit flat with Twin stitches. Foot and toe are knit in the round. The final stitches are grafted with a Kitchener stitch.
Students should know the basic concepts for casting on, increasing, decreasing, and knitting in the round in order to be successful in this class. Students will learn the Fish Lips Kiss heel and follow a lace chart to knit the Whalebones motif.
Class supplies must be purchased from Silk Road Textiles, either in store or through the SRT Online Marketplace. By using our high quality products, you know that you have the right tools and fibers to set you up for success, and we are able to keep our class prices down.
