Take what you've learned in Modern Hand Stitch and build on it. Each week we'll take a couple of those tried and true embroidery stitches and elevate them to the next level by layering, weaving, wrapping, fringing, and mixing techniques. We'll create a sampler of gorgeous borders framing a mandala. The finished product will be beautiful framed or on a pillow.

Be sure to purchase your fabric and other supplies from Silk Road Textiles, online or in store! 

Supplies needed:
Creative Stitching for Contemporary Embroidery by Sharon Boggon
FQ Essex cotton-linen blend fabric
1/2 yard fusible fleece
Chenille needles
A variety of colors of size 8 Perle Cotton (the more colors, the merrier!)
Basic sewing supplies

Prerequisite: Modern Hand Stitch course at Silk Road Textiles or similar experience
