Skill Level: Experienced Beginner - Advanced

Sat., 10/15, 1-3pm

During this workshop, Ruth will share her knowledge and get you through the tricky bits or knitting knockers. All participants must be confident knitting and purling and must be experienced using either double point needles or magic loop to knit in the round. This workshop is not a beginning knitting class and is appropriate for experienced knitters ages 16+. While there is no cost for this workshop, advanced registration is appreciated so we have enough yarn ready for everyone.

What are Knitted Knockers? They are special handmade breast prostheses for women who have undergone mastectomies or other procedures. They are a lighter, softer, and less expensive alternative to traditional breast prostheses. Knockers made at SRT will be donated locally. Whether you make your knockers at the shop or drop them off after making them at home, please include a note with the size of the knockers. Knit and crochet patterns are available through Knitted Knockers by clicking here.

Proof of vaccination required.
